Leota "Lottie" NapiecekLeota “Lottie” Napiecek, 91, of Waverly, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2014, at the Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community in Waverly.

Leota was born March 31, 1923, in Bremer County, Iowa, the daughter of John Henry and Minnie (Wedemeir) Schroeder. She attended school in Denver and graduated from Denver High School in 1940. On June 13, 1943, she was united in marriage to Leonard E. Napiecek at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Waverly. Lottie was employed at Mueller’s Cleaners for 27 years doing alterations.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the Amvets Auxiliary. Lottie enjoyed sewing, bowling, playing cards and volunteering at the Amvets.

Survivors are her son, Michael Napiecek of West Des Moines, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Jann Martens of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; son-in-law, Ron Lindaman of Panama City, Florida; 5 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and sister-in-law, Phyllis Napiecek of Maryville, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard in 1989; son, David Napiecek in 1994, daughter, Glenyce Lindaman in 2012; brother, Arlen Schroeder; four sisters, Irene Plaster, Laura Burkhardt, Berneda Sullivan and Lucille Gehrke.at Lottie's graveside service
