I encourage all members to attend our meetings to discuss projects we can support and activities which the Sons can be involved. Volunteers are always needed for the Fish Fry, Steak nights, or hosting our own Steak night. We have a beautiful facility. Consider attending events sponsored by the WAVP or the other organizations. Where else in town can you get a steak meal, done the way you like, reasonably priced, cocktails and many beer selections, and great people?

Two suggested projects would be needs for the LZ Phoenix house or Retrieving Freedom. To get more information on this, or other ways the Sons of AMVETS are supporting our Community and Veterans and their families, please plan to attend a meeting and get involved. Our main project has been the can collection bin. Through this we have been able to generate scholarships for deserving graduates. Their future is America’s future!

The membership dinner for AMVETS, AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary, and Sons of AMVETS is October 10, 2018 on the upper level of the WAVP. Dues may be paid that night or sent to me or Jim Trask.
