The health and safety of our members is our greatest concern as cases
of 2019 novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) continue to rise. Older adults, and
those specifically with diabetes, heart, lung or kidney disease may be
twice as likely to have serious COVID-19 illness. As such, most people
on Medicare will naturally be at a higher risk.
The CDC is asking anyone with symptoms to call their health care
provider or local health department for guidance before seeking care to
avoid spreading germs to others.
However, if you develop emergency warning signs – pain or pressure in
the chest, disorientation or confusion, a blue tint in your face or lips, or
difficulty breathing or shortness of breath – seek medical attention.
We all need to keep our wits about us and know that this all will pass.
