Mary Steinbach- AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary President 2014-2015

Welcome back Marj Reinhardt to the office of chaplain! Thank you Patty for filling in while Marj recuperated.

Our last food night at the VFW was a big success! Thank you to all that helped prepare the meal and those who helped the night of the meal. We have a great bunch of ladies. Please consider being part of this group. Volunteers are always needed and appreciated. Call me if you would like to be more involved in our Waverly AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary.

As Ted mentioned in his letter we will have a transition time starting now until the American Legion building is ready for us to move in. Our Auxiliary meeting on February 18th will be held at Marj Reinhardt’s residence. We will be discussing possible future food nights, fundraising, our scholarship program among other items.

I would also like to thank the VFW for hosting our events since the flood of 2008. It has been great seeing how our AMVETS family still bonded together even without our own building. We have had such great support for our monthly food nights, hors D oeuvres parties, Steak nights and our Super Bowl Parties. As we prepare for the opening of the new WAVP facility, I hope that our members continue to show their support to AMVETS and to the WAVP.
