Walking in Thanksgiving November 2015
Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. Colossians 2:6-7 (ESV)
How do you remain thankful, even faithful, in both the good and bad times? I think it’s difficult to stay in thankfulness, to truly appreciate all that the Lord has and is doing for us. When I was young, I couldn’t wait to get married. And when I married, I couldn’t wait for children and then grandchildren.
What if we thanked the Lord for all that he has given us now?
I find that if I take a step back from whatever I’m concerned about and thank the Lord for all that he has done for me, I am so much more joyful. We can always find the bad in every circumstance, but I want to choose to find the good. I want to choose to find where the Lord’s hand has led me. So I’m going to choose to be thankful today and for all the blessings God as bestowed on my family and me.
