*Thanks to all who prepared and served March’s Food night. Please continue to support our Auxiliary’s fundraiser at April’s Food night, serving Pulled pork sandwiches, potato salad, baked beans, and a dessert. Through this fundraiser we are able to support various State and National projects like Paws with a Cause, the John Tracy Clinic, Ronald McDonald House, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospitals, and State and National Scholarship funds. We also use the money raised to help fund local scholarships. Thank you for your past support and we hope to see you at all our Auxiliary events.
*Our 6 month reports are due the end of April and we are in the process of collecting data from Auxiliary members. If you have donated hours, food, clothing, money, or gas and mileage, please make a report of those items and get it to one of the officers. An example list of donations include: clothing and household items donated to Trinkets and Togs or Goodwill, eyeglasses or hearing aids, food or hours worked for a veteran’s funeral, money donated to non profit organization such as the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospitals, Cancer Society, Special Olympics, Muscular Dystrophy, United Way, etc., hospital or hospice volunteering (including VA hospitals and homes, or nursing homes), blood donations and volunteering, collecting Hy-Vee receipts for the schools, Box Tops for education, pull tabs for Ronald McDonald Houses, driving unable persons for Dr. appointments, participating in a veteran event such as Memorial day or Veteran’s Day. This is just a partial list and only example of the many ways to volunteer for the community. If you have items that can be reported, you can send me the list, including your name, to the above e-mail address. If you would like to be more involved with the Auxiliary and our events, please consider attending our monthly meetings. We would love to see you there!
