2020, New Year, new goals, same passion of working for our Veterans and their families. As I have been collecting dues for the year 2020 I have had numerous ladies comment on why? I can’t volunteer like I use to, I never go to the WAVP, go to the dinners, fish fry, steak nights, etc. Dues are not used for the privilege to attend these events, these events are open to the public. Dues are used to help fund our Auxiliary ladies traveling to the Iowa Veterans Home to volunteer entertaining Veterans there, make donations to various Department and National projects like: St. Jude’s Hospital for Children, PAWS with a Cause, John Tracy Clinics, Ronald McDonald House, Honor Flight, LSI Lutheran Services of Iowa (Bremwood), and so much more. We are able to offer scholarships to High School Students to further their education, buy school supplies and books for those in need, but most importantly protect the benefits and rights of those that are serving in the military and those that had made the commitment to serve. Our Auxiliary is there for our Veterans and their families. We work hard in our community, volunteering wherever and whenever we can. The old saying “Many hands make light work” could also hold true to paying your dues each year. More members, more dues, more ways we can work together for our Veterans and their families.
A thank you goes out to all who have paid their dues. If you have not done so, please consider doing so soon. It’s not too late.
Dues this year are $25.00. You can pay dues by mailing them to me:

I am also asking that if you know of someone who would qualify as a member, invite them to join us. Donations are always welcomed for any of the projects we sponsor. You may also send them to the above address, ear-marked for the certain project.
Another big “Thank You” to all who donated items for the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. Jean, our hospital representative for IVH, and the ladies who travel to Marshalltown once a month to volunteer reported that the items were appreciated and needed. The ladies who volunteer there help in the craft room, write out birthday cards to be given for those with birthdays during the month, and then host a bingo party in the afternoon. If you would like to be a part of this day of volunteering, they go the first Friday of each month. Give Jean a call @ 319-269-3371
We waited together, now let’s work together
